The Mound City Council approved a pilot and implementation plan for decorative pole banners and directed staff to coordinate testing and installation with the vendor.
Pauline Krebs of Minute Man Press presented final banner designs and explained the imprint area reserved for sponsor logos. Councilors asked about testing for durability and agreed the vendor would erect sample banners for evaluation before proceeding with a full rollout. The motion directed staff to work with the vendor to order two test sets, hang them for evaluation, and then begin sales for imprint space if the product meets standards.
Council approved the final design and authorized staff coordination; the vendor said the banners would be updated once a year and the vendor would manage sales outreach to local businesses.
No vote counts were recorded beyond the voice approval on the meeting record.
