A motion to commit to holding meetings on the first Thursday of each month passed unanimously by raised hands. Later, commissioners moved and passed a separate motion directing commission leadership to lobby the Board of Supervisors to ensure the same budgeted security funds the county allocates for other commissions are available to this commission so it will not need to cancel meetings when the planning commission does.
Commissioners agreed to follow up with Supervisor Wilson and county staff about the budget line and to test the new schedule at the next meeting.
