Under the motion presented to the court, Chambers County would acquire approximately 4.895 acres from Ed Laredo in exchange for conveying about 13.673 acres of county land to Laredo. The exchange was described as involving no money changing hands; approval was conditioned on certified appraisals being performed and other terms spelled out in the written agreement.
The court approved the motion after the executive session and recorded that the motion carries. County staff indicated the swap is intended to help further county projects along Collin Park and to support future county project development.
