Hayden, Idaho — During its Jan. 27 meeting the Hayden City Council approved first readings of two ordinances and authorized City Hall to serve as a polling place for the 2026 elections.
The council moved and approved the first reading of Ordinance PZE250098, which implements a previously approved easement vacation for Honeysuckle Glade; the mayor read the ordinance title and council adopted the first-reading motion by roll call. The council also moved to codify a previously approved zoning decision by adopting the first reading of Ordinance PZE250102 (Arts King Saud zone map amendment), which changes the zoning classification of identified lands from agricultural to commercial; that motion was likewise approved by roll call.
Council also voted to approve the use of City Hall as a polling place for the 2026 primary and general elections (May 19 and Nov. 3). The motion to designate City Hall passed by roll call vote.
These procedural first readings will be followed by the remaining ordinance-reading steps required by city code before final enactment.
