A council member asked how many traps the contractor has in the city and where those traps are located, noting skepticism that the report's counts matched local observations. Chair replied the report listed 55 inspected sites but that locations were not shown on a map in the packet and recommended asking the contractor for a map of trap locations.
Police Chief confirmed he observed aerial applications in the Cricket Forest area the week of July 4, saying, "They did spray the week of July 4 because I was outside and they came over my house and I watched the path back and forth over Cricket Forest area." Another member, Councilman Bryant, criticized the contractor's reporting quality, saying the report looked "like a third grader did it" and urged the contractor to provide benchmarks and better data ahead of the contract bid.
Staff said they would request more information from the contractor, including the number of traps, their locations, and planned timing for aerial applications, and will report back to the committee.
