Planning commission approves Lake Point Estates Phase 3 final subdivision plan

The Jonesboro Metropolitan Area Planning Commission on Aug. 26, 2025 approved the final subdivision plan for Lake Point Estates Phase 3, clearing the way for a new single-family neighborhood addition after a staff recommendation that the plan meets local subdivision rules.

Mark Morris, who identified himself as the owner of the development, told the commission the project is Phase 3 of Lake Point and corrected the lot count, saying "it's actually 22 lots" though the agenda listed 21.
