The Michigan City Sanitary District board on Jan. 28 elected a slate of officers for 2026, approving Don Batheide as president, Andy Sperling as vice president and Tina Mahone as board secretary.
Andy Sperling proposed the slate during the meeting and a motion to accept the nominations was made and seconded. The board approved the slate by voice vote. The chair then declared the election of officers complete.
The action took place at the start of the public meeting, which was broadcast on Access LaPorte County channel 907. No amendments to the nominations were offered during the discussion, and the board moved on to other agenda items following the vote.
