The Craven County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 20 approved a series of administrative and policy items, including an ordinance governing recreational vehicle parks, an updated drug-and-alcohol policy for the county’s CARTS transit program, one-year renewals for disaster debris removal and monitoring contracts, and final conveyances of multiple city parcels after completion of the upset-bid process.
Planning staff asked the board to adopt the proposed recreational vehicle park ordinance after the planning board recommended forwarding the draft following a public hearing. Planning staff told commissioners the proposed ordinance had been made available on the county website and at the planning department. A commissioner moved to adopt the ordinance and the board voted in favor.
