Calvert approves two additional CRRF awards totaling part of FY26 allocation

The Board of Calvert County Commissioners approved two additional FY26 awards from the county’s Community Reinvestment and Repair Fund (CRRF) after staff said two applicants had revised applications that now meet program priorities.
Jennifer Moreland, director of community resources, said the Calvert County Health Department’s request would support 24/7 behavioral health crisis response readiness and staff coordination during a period when billable services are limited. Mount Olive United Methodist Church’s revised application would fund expanded after‑school academic and safety resources in the Yardley Hills community.
Staff confirmed a spreadsheet error in the memo and Jacqueline Culver, deputy director for community resources, clarified the correct total recommended allocation. "I can confirm that the total amount for the FY26 funds is the $547,469.68," Culver said. The board approved the two additional awards and authorized the county administrator to sign the related grant agreements, subject to final financial review and required grant documents.
The awards use available FY26 cannabis special revenue dollars and do not require additional county general funds.
