Committee work included: 1) revised educational materials on buprenorphine intended for the board’s subscriber alert, newsletter and website (members agreed the materials were appropriate and asked staff to post the corrected version); 2) annual posting of federally required '3‑day rule' educational material for prescribers (materials were provided by DCA and posted by the statutory deadline); 3) a living master calendar of public‑education campaigns for 2026 (staff will add planned school outreach and a consolidated list of recently signed legislation); and 4) a sample notice for pharmacy personnel explaining how to file a complaint under recently enacted law (transcript references 'assembly bill 1503'); the notice includes QR codes linking to the complaint form and a compilation of relevant pharmacy laws, and members suggested adding the board logo and a short disclaimer that the poster is a sample.
Committee members also noted a corrected January newsletter was reissued after an editorial oversight removed a section on dispensing hormone therapy; staff sent a subscriber alert and posted the corrected version. Members discussed expanding the board’s social media presence (one‑way communication preferred), ADA and PRA considerations, and AI‑related risks (bots, scams, record retention). Staff will finalize the corrected attachments and post them on the board website.
