The motion to suspend the readings was seconded and passed by voice vote. Speaker 1 then moved to update the rules of procedure to replace the old building-department and meeting-room addresses with the current courthouse address; that motion was seconded and also passed by voice vote.
Speaker 2 asked the board’s attorney to review cited Indiana code language and any ordinance cross-references before broader procedural changes are adopted, noting that some language may require adjustment by the Area Plan Commission (APC). Speaker 1 asked for clearer, more detailed hearing procedures for appeals versus variance hearings to avoid confusion in future cases.
