The Board of Supervisors approved a package of job descriptions and authorized recruitment for several positions in the county roads and engineering departments, including roads operations center foreman, office manager, construction foreman, administrative assistant, assistant engineer and project manager roles.
County engineering staff said revised job descriptions had been circulated and that HR (Jasmine) would review final versions before posting. Supervisors expressed general support for building a team and emphasized coordination with Human Resources on classification and merging similar job descriptions where appropriate. A motion to move the descriptions forward was made and seconded; the board approved the package by voice vote.
Staff said the hires aim to finalize team structure and address workload from recent weather events and ongoing capital projects, and they will coordinate with HR on posting and classification before proceeding.
