HVAC work underway; painting and meeting‑room repairs to follow at Northborough library
Summary
Committee heard that an HVAC contract for the meeting room was awarded after redesign; vendor work is underway and DPW will complete remediation and painting when vendor work is finished, likely before spring but timeline may extend depending on weather and DPW schedules.

A trustee asked about the status of meeting room painting. Jen replied that the HVAC project tied to humidity concerns had been redesigned, put out to bid, a vendor selected and work is underway. She said the vendor’s portion of the work is expected to be finished over the winter and DPW/facilities will then complete remaining remediation, cleanup and painting.
Jen said the HVAC redesign was necessary because earlier plans would not have solved the problem; the vendor was reselected after a redesign process and a contract was awarded. She added that while vendor work may be done soon, DPW schedules and weather (lifts needed to reach the ceiling) could delay final painting and finishing touches and that the subcommittee should expect completion perhaps before spring but with DPW work possibly extending into the end of the fiscal year.
No new votes were taken; the committee noted the project and will monitor DPW and vendor schedules before setting further implementation steps.
