The San Ramon City Council on Jan. 27 adopted Ordinance 5.36, approving a development agreement between the City of San Ramon and Sunset Development Company for the housing project known as the Canopy at Bishop Ranch 8.
Councilmember Barros moved to approve the consent calendar and Councilmember Adler seconded. Vice Mayor Rubio read the ordinance by title and the council voted unanimously, 4-0, to waive a second reading and adopt the ordinance. The clerk reported there were no public speakers for this item and no verbal public comment during the consent calendar vote.
The ordinance was presented and adopted as part of the meeting's consent calendar; the council did not take separate public testimony on the development agreement at the meeting. Written public comments for other consent items were available in the meeting packet and in the binder at public seating.
The adoption completes the council's consent action on the item; any implementation steps and conditions tied to the development agreement will follow the terms of the ordinance and the agreement between the city and the developer.
