Public Works staff reported three eligible bidders for the Ridge Road standpipe removal project with bids ranging from about $160,000 to $235,000 and recommended awarding the contract to Eisler Demolition for $160,300. Brian Rickert explained the Ridge Road and Babcock standpipe projects differ; the Babcock project required cell-provider relocations and federal permitting, which delayed that demolition. Ridge Road’s standpipe has no active cell providers, an antenna of unknown ownership and has not contained water for more than 15 years, staff said.
A trustee moved to award the Ridge Road standpipe removal contract to Eisler Demolition for $160,300; the board approved the award by voice vote.
