Board approves $9.77 million state IGA to finance Developmental Disabilities services

Klamath County authorized an IGA with the State of Oregon bringing $9,770,412 across two fiscal years to support Developmental Disabilities services in the 2025–27 biennium.
Heidi Gaither, director of Klamath County Developmental Disabilities (DD) Services, presented an intergovernmental grant agreement (PO10000-00047084-0) to finance DD services for the 2025–27 biennium. The agreement increases revenue to the DD services department by $9,770,412, split 50/50 across the two fiscal years (2025–26 and 2026–27).
Gaither said the previous version of the agreement had been rescinded to revise contractual language; the updated IGA was before the board for approval and signature. A commissioner moved to approve the IGA and the board voted in favor.
Commissioners characterized this as a "happier budget" item during discussion and thanked staff for work on the agreement. The IGA becomes effective July 1 and will be implemented by the DD services department per the contract terms.
