The Carbon County Commission approved an agreement with Jones & DeMille (staff said the firm won the bid) to provide trail coordination services intended to support destination development and maintain the county trail system.
Staff described the work as encompassing maintenance, signage and the identification and development of new trail projects. Commissioners said the contract follows several years of committee work and could help the county expand recreational options and improve existing trails.
A motion to approve the agreement was made and seconded, and the commission voted to approve the contract. Staff said the contract will help operationalize the county’s destination development plans and that Jones & DeMille will begin coordination tasks under the agreement.
No contract dollar total was provided in the meeting record.
