"They provide electronic monitors for us and all the tools we need to monitor them on the outside," the sheriff’s representative said.
Commissioners discussed program details briefly and approved the agreement by motion and recorded vote.
The program is state-funded and the sheriff’s office said existing community supervision staff will handle local monitoring duties. No additional local funding was recorded in the meeting minutes.
Next steps noted in the meeting were implementation by the sheriff’s office under the terms of the cooperative agreement.
