Daggett County MBA: Water treatment plant moving forward; staff to bring small change orders next week

The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority heard an update Tuesday that the county’s water treatment plant project is proceeding and that staff will present several small construction change orders at next week’s meeting.
Speaker 2 summarized the status as "no news is good news," and Aaron (Speaker 3), who participated by phone, asked that the board add change-order items to the agenda "for the roof, the of the ultra room plan building, painting the building, like, backfill preventers," saying, "there's contingency money left over and so we decide how best to use them." Aaron said the project team expects to have actual cost estimates ready by next Tuesday.
Board members discussed funding. Speaker 2 asked whether the costs would be paid from "CIB money or out of the drinking water?" Aaron replied "Yes. CIB money." On procedural review, the board noted the items will require MVA review before approval.
No formal change orders were approved at the Nov. 25 meeting; staff said they will attempt to place the items on the subsequent meeting agenda after receiving final cost figures. The board next meets for clinic construction on Dec. 4 at 10:00 a.m., and staff indicated the water project change-order items could appear on the agenda then.
