Council hears updates on gateway sign, park painting and Fourth of July plans

"I wonder if that... kid could do a mural on that base wall side," Speaker 3 suggested; other speakers responded favorably.
Logistics and site-specific items were raised and left as follow-up tasks: hanging baskets and flowerpot watering assignments (JD and Payton were named as caretakers), a discussion about a potentially threatened pine tree where Speaker 1 said they have been watering it and recommended consulting the resident who believes it may still be alive, and fence progress for the DUP dedication scheduled Monday, June 2 at noon.
The session did not include formal decisions on the projects; the discussion recorded tasks for staff/volunteers and confirmed budget availability for the painting project. The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn was moved and seconded and voices were heard in favor.
