The Willard City Planning Commission on April 3 reviewed a conditional-use permit issued on Dec. 9, 2013, for a truss-manufacturing business at 781 North 200 West that was originally issued to Shane Bartholomew.
Staff reported the property has a different owner now, but that the permit’s only recorded condition required trash and garbage to be contained on the property. Staff advised that permits generally run with the property and recommended updating permit paperwork to reflect current ownership information. Commissioners agreed it would be appropriate to update the name on the permit and to review the record to confirm whether any compliance issues exist; staff said there were no recorded complaints tied to the permit in available records.
Later in the meeting commissioners took a procedural vote to approve the planning-commission minutes for March 20, 2025, and an associated work-session date correction; a motion to approve the minutes (subject to that correction) was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. A motion to adjourn was then made and passed and the meeting was closed.
No final land-use decisions (such as approvals for the Bayview preliminary plan) were taken on April 3.
