Price City Council adopted the Price City Water Conservation Plan 2025 at its Dec. 10 meeting, approving resolution 2025-30 to update the city's conservation goals and to reflect changes in the city's water-rate structure.
A staff presenter said the state of Utah requires municipalities to have a conservation plan and explained the update mainly incorporated the new water-rates approved in April and refreshed goal-setting tied to per-capita daily usage. The presenter discussed target per-capita daily-use numbers cited in the state guidance and said the plan sets annual reduction targets and longer-term goals through 2030 and 2040.
Council Member Jesperson moved to approve resolution 2025-30 and Council Member Willis seconded; the motion carried. The council discussed public outreach and education elements included in the plan but did not record additional regulatory changes during the meeting.
