Price City Council voted Dec. 10 to approve resolution 2025-29, authorizing Price City to enter into the America250 Utah agreement and accept a $1,500 grant to support a Liberty Gala event. Megan, representing the downtown/Main Street organization, described the federally backed America250 program and that the downtown district had formed a planning committee to use the grant for marketing, advertising, planning and an event honoring veterans.
Megan said the committee is still early in planning but intends the Liberty Gala to be a formal, red-white-and-blue fundraiser and recognition evening; proceeds will be donated to a local cause to be identified and brought back to the council for approval on donation plans. Council Member Miller moved to approve the resolution and Council Member Jesperson seconded; the motion carried.
