Business licenses: The council approved a Rocky Mountain Home Sales license presented by Lynn Citrude and a Wild Bunch Bike Family nonprofit license after hearing from Don Gardner, president of the Wild Bunch Bike Family, who described recent fundraising and nonprofit status.
Personnel: After interviews conducted with the town’s assistance, Mayor Van Wagner recommended Brandy Wagner for city recorder. The council voted to offer Brandy Wagner the position and asked staff to contact her to complete hiring steps.
Legal services: The council approved a proposed monthly retainer with the city attorney: $100 per month in exchange for two hours of legal services at the attorney’s stated rate; the two hours do not roll over and the retainer covers non-prosecution work.
Financial administration: The council amended the city council credit card limit to $2,000. Council members discussed current limits and agreed the $2,000 cap was acceptable.
ARPA/recreation: Council approved a previously sent letter requesting roughly $30,000 in ARPA recreation funds from Emery County to build a small pavilion at the rodeo grounds and to contribute toward a future pickleball court capital request.
