Road maintenance was described as a five-year plan that had been front-loaded; participants discussed spreading planned maintenance over additional years and using equipment-purchase channels (including state fleet turnover sales) to replace vehicles less expensively. Council asked staff to update numbers in the road plan after recent work and to identify items that could be deferred or phased to reduce next year’s funding pressure.
