On Feb. 19 the Gunnison City Council approved a motion to sell a Chevrolet associated with the seniors group to Ace Fowler and to complete title-transfer paperwork once required documentation is in order.
Staff explained the seniors group purchased the vehicle with its own funds and that the group keeps a bank account. The city's initial role had been as an insurer/partner while the seniors used the vehicle; staff said the city can transfer title so the seniors group holds ownership and the funds remain with the seniors' bank account once paperwork is complete.
Councilman Anderson moved to approve the sale, and Councilwoman Hill seconded. The council recorded yes votes from Childs, Warner, Hill and Anderson and approved the sale. Staff said they will ensure all documentation required for transfer is present before executing the transfer.
