At 10:18 p.m. Wednesday the council reconvened and approved a motion authorizing the mayor to implement the actions discussed in a prior executive session.
A speaker moved that the body “move in the direction that was discussed in executive session.” That motion was recorded as being made by Councilman Crane and seconded by Councilman Wanner. The request to “authorize the mayor” to carry out that direction was repeated during the exchange.
During a roll call the presiding speaker recorded the votes. Childs, Wanner, Crane and Hill were recorded as voting “Yes.” The presiding speaker then stated the result was unanimous; no formal dissent or abstention was recorded in the transcript. The motion was therefore approved and the mayor was authorized to act as directed in executive session.
The meeting concluded immediately thereafter; members responded “Aye” to a final call, and the session was adjourned.
