Huntington council approves two business licenses amid neighborhood concerns about trailers

Huntington’s City Council on Jan. 21 approved multiple business licenses, including a location change for Black Diamond Truck Pilot Service and a salon/spa license for Petty Energy LLC, operated by Ashley Justice.
Council discussed the Black Diamond transfer (Guy Black sold to Mary Ann Merrill). A council member asked where operations would take place and a neighbor or council member raised concerns about trailers and flat tires on the property, saying they had recently seen a trailer ‘‘full of junk’’ and that a work order had been filed. Planning staff said the license can be reversed if the property is not cleaned and the new owner committed to remove the items.
Ashley Justice spoke about Petty Energy LLC’s services, describing salon, spa and pedicure services and noting she is registered; the council moved and approved her business license. The council approved the Black Diamond license after a motion and voice vote.
The approvals were recorded by motion and voice vote; council members instructed staff to follow up on property condition if complaints persist.
