Council noted approximately $22,000 in county grant funding and $54,545 already budgeted locally; staff will continue pursuing state grant funds to reduce the city’s local share.
Councilman Warner moved to award the contract; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously with one council member absent. Contract work was to be completed with a target finish date around September 1 to align with grant closings and construction schedules.
Council asked staff to confirm material-cost estimates and grant timing before issuing a notice to proceed.
