After the votes, applicants and council members raised a broader issue: Corn Creek Irrigation and the town use different maps and easement records, and plot maps available to residents and staff were sometimes outdated or unclear. Speaker 9 said the irrigation plot maps "have the main lines and where all the risers are, but... it's all so old that you don't really know what people put in." Council members asked staff to seek clearer documentation or a signed form from Corn Creek Irrigation to include in the town's permit packet so future applicants can obtain definitive easement/setback information before finalizing building locations.
No change to the building code was adopted; council directed staff to pursue clarification with Corn Creek Irrigation and to consider updating the permit packet to require irrigation-company sign-off where applicable.
