Crane told the commission he plans to store equipment in an enclosed trailer (6x10 or 6x12) at his home and that no business transactions will be conducted at the residence. He described the business as primarily focused on parking‑lot striping, with potential to expand into sports courts and playground striping in the future.
Commissioners questioned potential waste streams and equipment cleaning. Crane said leftover paint would be minimized by reuse (pouring into the next bucket), that residual paint would be allowed to dry, and that he would coordinate disposal with White Sanitation. “Typically, there’s not going to be a lot of waste… It’s just letting the residual paint dry and then discarding of it appropriately,” he said.
Based on those assurances and staff findings that the residence can comply with applicable conditions, a commissioner recommended granting the requested business operation; the motion was seconded and the commission voted to approve the application.
The commission directed staff to include standard conditions for home‑occupation compliance, waste handling, and any necessary permits. Crane was thanked and dismissed.
