Council names members to planning, tree and historic‑preservation bodies

At its Aug. 12 meeting the Green River City Council filled several board and commission vacancies.
Council approved Glenn Brown as a regular member of the Planning Commission and appointed Dylan Kiel as an alternate. The council also named Ben Langhoff to the tree board and appointed Larry Packer and Mary Leanne Chaddister to the Historic Preservation Commission. All nominations were moved and seconded and passed unanimously.
Presiding Official (S1) said the administration will continue outreach to fill remaining seats and intends to assign council liaisons to boards to improve public access to information about city work on items including tree care and historic preservation.
