Green River council approves official canvass of primary-election results

The City of Green River council, sitting as the canvassing board, approved the official canvass of primary-election returns during a special meeting on Aug. 19, 2025.
Mayor Pat introduced the canvass documents prepared by the county auditor/election board and noted small, late adjustments to a couple of totals (the mayor said one tally for “Tanya” and one other were each increased by one). Mayor Pat said those signature and count issues were resolved and did not change any election outcomes.
An unidentified council member moved to approve the canvass; the motion was seconded. Mayor Pat conducted a roll-call vote, recording “Aye” from Guy Webster, Larry Packer, Bo (Beau) Harrison and Ben Lenhoff. The canvass was approved unanimously among those present.
Mayor Pat also reminded the council that state law requires canvassing within seven to 14 days after the election and that the original reason for the special meeting was to meet that statutory window. Council members were asked to sign the original canvass pages after approval.
The council took no further action on the election results at the meeting.
