Council appoints three members to Historic Preservation Commission

The Green River City Council on Oct. 14 unanimously approved three appointments to the city's recently reconstituted Historic Preservation Commission. The council appointed Joanne Channer, reappointed Breanna Brown and appointed Travis Bacon, each confirmed by roll-call vote.
Council members cast individual roll-call votes; the mayor confirmed the three appointments give the commission five members, the minimum required by ordinance to hold meetings. After the votes the council encouraged residents to volunteer for commissions and noted that the ordinance allows the commission to have more than the quorum minimum if there is interest.
The appointees were thanked by the council; no discussion of duties or terms was recorded beyond confirmation that the commission now may meet.
