On recreational fields, Speaker 2 and others reviewed local field dimensions and concluded the town’s property can support small youth soccer fields (4U–12U) but not a full-size adult 14U field without major earthwork or relocation. The meeting also included a proposal for a 100-by-200-foot metal building to house indoor pickleball and basketball courts and a winter youth gathering space; speakers said the rec-center-style building would be a multi-year project and would likely follow other priorities.
Speaker 3 handed out an agreement related to USU for council members to read; Speaker 3 said it reflected a prior council vote and that once signed the work described in the agreement could begin. The meeting closed with a motion to adjourn that was seconded and approved by voice vote.
