The chair asked for outstanding numbers from Alton and Orderville to complete the percentage calculations; several members discussed giving municipalities a firm April 15 cutoff to submit license counts for inclusion in the proportional distribution.

Speaker 3 recounted that BigWater supported an equestrian club that partnered with the local school to buy solar panels for an arena and helped with sidewalks and curb work for a new RV park. The chair reported a remaining rural county grant fund balance of $143,792.85 after previously approved allocations, including the $50,000 business grants and a $50,000 transportation project.
The board received an update on $40,000 set aside for business trainings: Caden (Southwest Tech) is coordinating classes (food handler training, wilderness first aid, QuickBooks and marketing training) and will provide a schedule. Speaker 4 said a $50,000 ATV/OHV destination feasibility study was awarded to Roger Brooks and will be announced at the county commission meeting; Roger Brooks is scheduled to visit BigWater next week to coordinate the work.
The board discussed administrative follow-up: obtaining final municipal license counts from Alton and Orderville, calculating proportional shares of the $150,000 pool, and closing out remaining municipal grant steps before the April 15 deadline. The board set its next meeting for May 5 at 3 p.m. and adjourned following a motion and voice vote.
