Council approves Lochner scope of work to preserve airport pavement; project largely FAA funded

The Green River City Council unanimously approved a scope-of-work agreement with Lochner on May 13 to carry out pavement preservation at the municipal airport. Carson Milton of Lochner described the work as maintenance to extend pavement life—crack seal, fog seal and remarking of apron, taxiways and connectors—while the city waits for larger reconstruction funding.
Milton told the council the project funding breakdown is approximately 95% FAA, 2.5% state and 2.5% local. "This is a pavement preservation project... it is 95% FAA funded, 2.5% of the state of Utah, and 2.5% local," Milton said. Councilmembers agreed the preservation work is appropriate and moved to approve the Lochner agreement; the motion passed unanimously among those present.
The consultant said the pavement condition is holding well after recent runway work and described the project as a bridge until a larger rehabilitation can be scheduled. Council did not read detailed contract dollar figures into the record during the meeting; Milton used approximate verbal figures in his presentation.
