The Mayfield Town Council voted on March 12 to authorize staff to solicit bids for the 2025 road program and to place up to three projects on the Community Impact Board (CIB) priority list.
Staff presented a multi‑year pavement plan and recommended a drainage‑first approach. Council directed staff to prepare the CIB entries with project descriptions and cost estimates and to pursue funding in the coming CIB cycles. A motion to authorize bids was moved by the mayor and seconded; the motion carried on a voice vote.
Separately, council approved posting a part‑time seasonal grounds/maintenance position for April through the summer to assist with cemetery and park work. The posting was authorized by motion and second; council members said the position will be publicly advertised and follow standard hiring procedures.
Council then reviewed claims and registers and approved the bills and minutes for the February 12, 2025 meeting. The minutes were signed and staff noted ongoing utility‑fund repairs and equipment purchases listed in the claims summary.
All three procedural items were passed during the March 12 meeting and staff were directed to follow up on CIB applications, the job posting and the practical next steps identified in claims and capital planning.
