KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore. — Sept. 4, 2025 — County officials outlined a preliminary budget outlook at a work session on Thursday that flagged growing risk to public-safety services if federal and state funding streams are reduced or not reauthorized.
Finance Director Vicky Knoll told the Klamath County Board of Commissioners that an anticipated grant of about $500,000 that had been budgeted for juvenile services now appears unlikely to come through and that the Oregon Health Authority's 1115-waiver process remains uncertain.
