Klamath County commissioners voted Sept. 9 to accept a contractor’s bid to abate asbestos and demolish the former “Hub” at 3319 South 6th Street and approved several grant applications and land-plat filings during a routine business meeting.
Luisa Wesson of the county’s property and tax department told the board an invitation to bid produced six offers and recommended IRS Environmental of Portland Inc. for asbestos abatement and demolition of the Hub. “An invitation to bid for Klamath Hub asbestos abatement and demolition was issued, and 6 bids were received,” Wesson said.
