Commission hears roads update; wetlands sign-off required before bid

The meeting’s moderator (Unidentified Chair, Speaker 1) told commissioners the county has submitted documentation supporting a wetlands determination and "believe[s] that there's only... less than 1 tenth of an acre of disturbance of jurisdictional wetland." The chair said the county provided supporting documentation and is awaiting the agency sign-off required before putting the job out to bid.
County staff noted that a recent government shutdown caused a short delay in the wetlands review process. County staff also said they are coordinating with the Utah Department of Transportation on plan preparation, and that, pending wetlands approval, they anticipate starting construction in spring.
No formal decisions were made; staff and commissioners discussed next steps for permitting and bid timing.
