Staff presented the 2024 reconciliation (the chamber received 75% of a grant payment, $11,156.25) and outlined that a $15,000 county match remains to close a cooperative marketing/video project. The chamber asked for reimbursement of $36,548.14 (2024) and $14,073.55 (2025); commissioners said they needed final backup documentation for state reporting.
After discussion, a commissioner moved to approve both reimbursements conditional on the county auditor (Carrie) reviewing and approving the supporting paperwork required for state TRT reports. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Commissioners also discussed clause 4 of the Chamber MOU, which requires 90 days' written notice for termination or amendment. The commission agreed sending a clean letter referencing MOU section 4 and signed by the chair (with county attorney review) was appropriate. A motion to initiate the 90‑day notice to terminate the MOU was made, seconded and approved; commissioners recorded the effective date in the discussion as March 18.
Staff and chamber representatives were directed to continue coordinating so outstanding documentation can be reconciled and any future fund requests would follow the TRT board process.
