County approves access agreement so county attorney can review sheriff’s body-camera evidence

Emery County commissioners approved an agreement Oct. 7 with Accent Enterprise Incorporated (a vendor providing Accsoon services) to grant the Emery County Attorney's Office access to body-worn camera evidence from the sheriff’s office.
County staff described the agreement as a service-access arrangement that will permit prosecutors and county attorneys to review body-camera footage without separate hourly billing arrangements. The sheriff noted the department now has body cameras in use and that granting access to the attorney’s office will be helpful for evidence handling and prosecutions.
The motion to approve the agreement was made, seconded and passed by the commission.
