Emery County commissioners approved two tax/parcel actions Oct. 7: a commission adjustment correcting an erroneous assessed value and tax on parcel 01-0151-0038, and a separate set of commission adjustments placing multiple solar-farm parcels on Greenbelt status for 2025.
County staff explained the first item corrects a factual error that would remove an assessed value of $242,201 and a tax charge of $3,660.81 for 2025. The board moved, seconded and approved the correction.
The commission also approved placing several parcels associated with the solar project near Moore on Greenbelt for one more year (parcels 06-0019-0001; 06-0020-0001; 06-0021-0001; 06-0022-0001; 06-0023-0006; 06-0028-0003; 06-0029-0001). Commissioners noted the solar project did not trigger a change this year and the greenbelt status will continue through 2025.
