Transwest delay pushes local work to winter; town expects funds for road upgrades

Council members recalled prior negotiations with the county commissioner (Dean Draper) that led to an offer of either road upgrades after construction or a bid estimate to update affected roads. The council said three bids for updating Lindletown roads totaled about $163,000; members agreed not to schedule work until funds are confirmed and to hold planning for multiple roads until account breakdowns are available.
Staff confirmed Alexis was added to the PTIF account to manage capital funds; councilors discussed fiscal-year timing and noted that when funds arrive the town has ~3 months estimated to complete the road work before the contractor schedule changes.
