Green River council, sitting as canvassers, certifies Nov. 12 general election results

GREEN RIVER — On Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, the Green River City Council, acting as the city's board of canvassers, unanimously certified the results of the Nov. 2025 general election after reviewing turnout, candidate totals and a small number of ballots with signature discrepancies.

The presiding official announced there were 394 registered voters and 235 ballots cast, "just under 60%" turnout. Vote tallies read into the record showed mayoral totals of Michael Silliman with 80 votes and Grama Lloyd Hap with 153; city council totals of Tanya Bigelow 174, Stephanie Crabtree 94, Connor Weber 93 and Larry Packer 83; and Proposition 9 (RAFT tax reauthorization) at 178 in favor and 52 opposed. City staff also reported three ballots flagged for signature discrepancies: one was cured and counted, and two remained uncured and were not counted.

"We certify the general election votes for candidates and for the proposition," the meeting's presiding official announced before calling for a roll call vote. The clerk conducted roll call: Guy—aye; Larry—aye; Kent—aye; Ben—aye. The presiding official said the motion passed unanimously of those present.

The certification completes the local canvass of returns for these contests. Officials instructed members to sign the canvass documents and indicated the council would proceed with the regular city meeting following adjournment of the canvass session.
