The proposed park would measure roughly 143 by 81 feet and include accessible surfacing and sensory features such as drums and bells, which the mayor said would make the space usable for people of varying abilities.
The mayor asked if the commission would provide a letter of support for a Community Impact Board (CIB) application. Commissioners responded positively and said they would be willing to provide a letter and requested updates as the mayor advances the CIB application. Mayor Danny said he would keep commissioners posted on fundraising and the CIB outcome.
