The board revised the contract language so applicants could select awards anywhere between $3,000 and $15,000 (rather than fixed tiers) and to permit higher rubric scores for projects that proposed greater matching funds (up to 30%).
The transcript lists several award recipients and the amounts the commission approved on the record: Tracy Frost ($15,000) to convert tent spots into improved campsites; Steven Gregerson ($3,682) to buy a reverse-osmosis coffee/espresso machine for a food truck; Adam Ricks ($15,000) for employee housing at Bridal Canyon; Brian Tedesco (approximately $14,000) for a pizza oven at the brew company; Jerry Taylor ($15,000) for an additional pontoon boat at Lucerne Marina; and Woody Bear ($8,274) for rafts for Flaming Gorge Lodge. A commissioner moved and the board approved the list of recipients and associated contracts by voice vote. Staff noted one prior recipient (Lexi Taylor) has a leftover balance of $5,136 on a prior contract that expires Dec. 6 and that the board could reallocate that balance to another approved project if appropriate.
