Mayfield canvass certifies Nov. 4 election, names Travis Good mayor and approves Proposition 10

"I, Amanda Bennett, Mayfield Town Recorder, do certify hereby certify that the following is a full and true and correct abstract of the statement of vote of this town at the general municipal election held in Mayfield Town by mail on 11/04/2025," Bennett read aloud before circulating the affidavit for signatures.
The recorder reported Mayfield had 380 active registered voters on election day. Election-night turnout was 184 voters (48.42%); the final turnout reported in the affidavit was 189 voters (49.74%). Bennett said one returned ballot had a signature that did not match the voter record and four ballots were returned unsigned.
The certified results read by Bennett showed Travis Good with 176 final votes for mayor. For the four-year council seats, Jack Wilbur received 134 votes and Mitzi Fuller received 150 votes. Proposition 10, described in the record as a "wrap tax for Mayfield Pound," was recorded as passing with 147 yes votes and 35 no votes.
After the recorder reviewed the attachments and the abstract, the board moved to accept the canvass for the 2025 municipal general election. The motion was seconded and approved by a voice vote; the transcript records those present answering "Aye," but does not include a roll-call tally. The recorder said the affidavit and supporting documents would be signed by the board of town canvassers.
Following certification, a motion to adjourn was made, seconded and agreed to without further business. The meeting was taken off the record.
