Corinne Council accepts low bid for new shop building

Corinne City Council members voted to award the city’s shop building contract to the low bidder listed in the meeting packet after reviewing three bids. Mayor (unnamed) told the council the low bid was $128,000, and members discussed scope differences and contractor experience before moving forward.

Councilmember Karen Caldwell moved “to approve the previous minutes as written” earlier in the meeting and later supported deliberation on the shop bids. Council members asked staff to explain differences among the bids, noting one bidder included site-development work while others did not and that concrete thickness and other specifications varied by proposal. The chair said the packet showed the proposals were largely “apples to apples” and that the low bidder had listed all required items.
